VRT Radio 1 on Google Home - found the solution

)We finaly found the right command to listen to VRT Radio 1 (about a year ago, Google couldn’t  find the station anymore. But… when you ask to play the frequency (FM at My place) , it works. Maybe someone finds this usefull?

It doesn't work here. Do you say "Play 95.7 in Gent" or something else?

The command is : speel 97,5 FM (spoken in Dutch for VRT Radio2 Antwerpen on TuneIn), but due to the recent issues that won't work now although the Nest mini replies with 'ik speel VRT Radio2 Antwerpen op TuneIn'... .

Listen to the closest radio station by name, call-sign, or frequency:

Note: Premium online radio streaming requires a subscription (available in the US and Canada only).

• "Play [radio station name]"
• "Play [radio station call-sign]"
• "Play [radio station frequency]"
• "Play [radio station] on [radio service]"

Listen to a radio station in another location:

• "Play [radio station name] in [location]"
• "Play [radio station frequency] [location]"

This does not work.

The nest hub finds the stream-url but is unable to load it ->

same here - worked fine but 2days ago it stopped working with 'speel vrt radio 1' and 'speel vrt radio 1 op tune in'...
On my nest hub (with screen) it opens the stream (i can see the vrt logo) but can't load it...

Hello allemaal. Gewoon je radio oproepen zoals vroeger en als er niets te horen is zeg ‘ hello Google play’. De hint kwam van hier boven iemand die zei dat het in pauze viel zodra je de radio oproept. 
maar er is duidelijk iets niet in orde.

Dit zal ook niet elke keer werken vermoed ik. Als je de cast stopt in de Home app en opnieuw probeert werk ook dat meer niet dan wel.

Thanks for the details you’ve shared. Try the factory reset; this erases all your personalized settings and restores the factory default settings. It won’t automatically reconnect to WI-Fi, and you’ll need to set it up again. Check out the article below to know more about it.

Bedankt voor het vinden van deze oplossing. VRT radio 1 is inderdaad op te roepen via het commando "OK google 94 komma 2.
Weet iemand soms met welk commando je momenteel VRT radio 2 oproept? Met de FM frequenties lukt het niet.

Hallo Milo, zie mijn andere posts in dit draadje. In een ervan heb ik een link gezet naar een ander draadje waarin de problemen met ook VRT2 Radio2 beschreven staan. Hierdoor werken ook jouw pogingen om deze stream op te roepen via de frequentie meestal niet en soms wel. Ik heb de support van TuneIn gecontacteerd om dit probleem op te lossen, maar een week later (nog) geen antwoord. Hoe meer mensen bij TuneIn een vraag doen om dit op te lossen, hoe sneller dit daadwerkelijk opgelost wordt.

You (Google) better takes contact with TuneIn? You are B2B partners and people have problems with ALL VRT streams on only Google's Nest (Mini) devices. This problem already exists 3 weeks now and still is not solved!!!

Radio1 wel, maar Radio2 en dan specifiek een regio erachter (vb Antwerpen) ook Joke?

Zowel radio 1 als radio 2 werken bij mij thans op een google nest HUB met volgende commando:

VRT radio 1: "OK Google, speel vrt rado 1 live (live uit te spreken als "laif")

VRT radio 2: "OK Google, speel vrt radio 2 live (nadien de afspeelknop op het scherm van de HUB aanklikken)

Na 4 weken miserie: vanaf deze ochtend werkt ook 'VRT Radio2 Antwerpen' terug zoals voorheen. Echter nog geen update gehad op mijn ticket bij TuneIn.
