Verbal: "Got it, turning <device> on/off" instead of just a quiet tone?

Using Google WiFi and 1st gen Google Home speakers.

I've seen "locked" forum posts saying that I should get a chime response if the device being controlled is categorized as a light.  I physically have two lights plugged into Kasa smart plugs.  Both display in the Google Home app as "Lights (outlets)".  I still get the full acknowledgement from Google rather than the Chime.  What needs to be done?

Hi jlimmer,

The devices need to be associated as being in the same room as the speaker/display within the Google Home app for the chime notification to be used.

Cathal

Hi Cathal,

I'd read that, thought I had, but really hadn't.  Now it works perfectly.  Thanks!!!!

Hi, everyone.

Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.
