I am streaming music from Spotify on the Google Nest Mini. The Nest Mini's volume is currently at 50%.
At the same time, I am using my Apple iPhone 12. The Spotify app is open here but is in the background, not the active application. The song that is playing on the Nest Mini shows up in the Control Center of my phone.
The issue is this: whenever I change the iPhone volume, it always returns to 50%.
Is there a way to bypass this? I'm in a situation where the phone volume must be at 0% while the Nest Mini is at 50%, but the phone volume always adjusts itself to match the Nest Mini volume.

Hi! Still experiencing the same issue. Spotify is open on my phone, Google Nest plays music from Spotify, and suddenly my phone volume automatically matches to the Google Nest's volume no matter how much I press the volume buttons on my phone. I'm not casting audio from my phone to the Google Nest, so I'm wondering why this keeps happening.
