So my wife and I have a pair of nest hubs that no longer function as they have the past couple years. If I reset the device, I can use voice match settings - he if she resets it then she can use voice match settings. It will absolutely never recognize the voice of anyone who doesn't complete the set up process for the device. Doesn't matter what commands I use or steps I follow on either my phone or my wife's... Both devices are junk now.
I don't even mind them recording our conversations so Google please fix your **bleep**. I'll try all the steps again in a week otherwise your products are going in the trash and I'll even swap to bing for search results and outlook for an email client. We didn't pay you for **bleep** products that wouldn't be worth the investment in a year or two...

Hey Bvhjdbvkjf,
That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s check what’s going on with your devices.
A few questions: what features are affected on your Nest Hub devices? Are your devices not answering any voice commands? Try removing the Voice Match on your devices and before adding it again, reset your Nest Hub.
Keep me posted.
Thanks,
Alex

Yall might as well go forward with locking the thread, aren't going to be any solutions to the problem that work better than what we currently have to do.
For the record, every voice command for the house works fine - smart lights and devices all respond because those commands aren't tied to a voice profile.
What's broken is the fact that none of the nest devices can apparently store more than one voice match profile any longer. My wife can add items to the shopping list on the kitchen device - but it provides me a QR code when I try to add something. So I go to the office and have no problem adding to the shopping list there - but because I set up the device it will never recognize my wife's request to do so.
When you go into voice match settings you can choose which devices to use your voice match with and get personal responses from. All these nest devices are in the same home - and the two of us have enabled our voice match on all devices... But the devices themselves will still only recognize the voice match settings of the person who set up the device. Our voice match settings are not broken on our Google accounts (clearly because they still work on the devices we each set up)... It's either the software on the nest devices themselves - or the Google voice match settings by account that aren't letting the nest devices access the information on the cloud.
Neither of which can I fix, and neither is a priority for Google development team to trouble shoot. I've been with Google since Gmail was in the invite only phase, I've seen the way they toss aside old tech like Google reader and Google plus that is no longer beneficial to them. I've even been there when useful features on Android (like the ability on 6th edition to choose 'until my next alarm' when I silence my phone) are left in the dust.
Honestly what this looks like is Google moving on from voice match to a new product, maybe the next edition products will have cameras to utilize face recognition or whatever... I don't care. All I know is that I was fine with them discarding free features that cost them money in the past... I spent money on these devices though and that's why I'm pissed they screwed up what was working just fine before. Why do I have to go to another room or pull out my phone to add something to my shopping list?
Google has let the laissez-faire attitude within the company proliferate for too long. Thanks for your time but I'm looking into ways to proceed with home automation tasks now that don't rely on Google, their reliability simply no longer exists with this customer.

Hi Bvhjdbvkjf,
Thanks for your response.
I appreciate your honest feedback and we'd like to further investigate what's causing this to happen. Could you confirm if the email addresses that you're trying to link with your Google Nest speakers are all regular Gmail account?
Lastly, could you provide the cast firmware version of it?
To check the firmware version:
Keep me posted.
