White noise stops playing on Google home device

My Google home device keeps stopping playing white noise I set during my baby’s sleep time. Why is that? I also used to be able to turn it back on through the app on my phone with the mic button using a voice command but I can’t do that anymore since the app updated and there’s no mic button anymore. Help! Can I still do voice commands to my device through the app on my phone? If so, how??

Thanks for visiting the Community.

With the new updates on Google Home app, you may add Google Assistant under "Favorites". Here's how:

1. From the Home app under "Favorites", scroll at the bottom page and select "Edit".
2. Make sure to check "Assistant".
3. Tap on "Save".
