Worst tech product- google mini home

The device itself is very rubbish. Can't even connect to the Google Home app itself.

Always shown something went wrong even though every step of installation or setup is correct.

  • I tried more than 50 times and researched YouTube or every search engine to look for a solution but none of it is working.
  • Make sure that mobile data is off.
  • Move your Google Home Mini within 15-20 ft. away from the router to get enough signal from your network.
  • Reboot your Google Home Mini and router by disconnecting them from the power source and leave them unplugged for 1 minute. Once done, plug them back one at a time with intervals.
  • Turn WiFi on and off on the mobile setup device.
  • Try to use a different phone and see if you will have the same issue.
  • If it is still the same, try to manually connect to the device’s hotspot from your phone or tablet’s Wi-Fi settings.
    1. Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your mobile device.
    2. Open the list of available WiFi networks and look for an available network with the name “GoogleHomeXXXX" (where XXXX is a random number).
      1. Note: If you previously set up your device and have not factory reset it since it got kicked off of the network, look for the name of the device that you assigned to it in the list of available networks on your mobile device (Example: “Kitchen Home"). 
    3. If you can successfully connect to the speaker or display's SSID in your WiFi settings, open the Google Home app and try to set up the device.

Advice from community specialist is just wasting your time to try something that will not work. Well done google!

Don't recommend buying, it's a waste if you purchase !! Will not buy any Google devices anymore !!!
