Wrong account associated with device

The account associated with my google hub display is not an account I used (it is a temp account for some reason).


When I try and add my normal account it gives me the error 'Cant send invitation at the moment' - always does this.

I think it's something to do with when i migrated from a standard google account to a workspace one, but surely you can associate a workspace account to your hub can't you?

My temp account has run out of space so I can't add any more photos to the display but I dont want to pay for a temp account hence why I want to move it to my usual account

Hi GlenCollins, 

 

Thanks for reaching out. I recommend using just the normal Gmail account in setting up your Google Nest Hub. Using workspace Gmail will only have limited features when using your device. You can reset your device and set it up again with the regular Gmail account. Here's how: https://goo.gle/32c7nIF

I did reply via the email you guys sent but it's just bouncing so I've had to log in to the forum to respond:

 

I have two paid for google accounts with plenty of GB spare for my hub photo collection. I dont understand why I can't use one of those accounts. I want to use my normal email address # which is a workspace email address for both Nest and the Nest Hub (I load it up with photos to display) I'm not going to pay for a new account just to have photos on the hub as that's crazy when I've got about 30gb spare on the other accounts


I really dont understand Google accounts - why can't I use my personal workspace account for my personal Nest products? It used to work fine when you didnt have to use google accounts

Those accounts have an extra level of security that is designed to protect work related information. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take this as feedback and pass it along to the team.
