https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Chromecast/No-audio-when-casting-desktop-from-Chrome/m-p/1163...
ive tried:
- new browser empty fresh installed browser
- the solutions provided in the topic above.
- using the brave browser
- restarting all the speakers
- restarting my network.
- using a diffrent computers. windowws 10 or 11. no diffrence.
- Phones only give me the option to cast to video devices. not to speakers or speakergroups
- Allow all sites to initiate mirroring - disabled only allows me to use speaker. enabled didnt work either.

Hey there okkies,
I am sorry about the late response on this thread, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that audio issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as it seems like this issues is pretty difficult to troubleshoot. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran

I have the same issue. When using the Home app on my Android 12 or Android 9 phones, there is no longer an option to "Cast My Audio" when the Hub "Display" is selected, despite the fact that Google Support documents say it should be there. The only options now are "Cast my screen" and "Edit photo frame". "Cast my screen" is a laborious way to do it, and audio only recently started getting through from my Android 12 phone. From my Android 9 phone the audio pass through gets chewed up. Both used to work fine when there was a "Cast my audio" button.
