error 83902 kgsk error domain

Heyhey,

got the error above when trying to connect my new Google Nest Hub 5 via iOS Google Home app.

Problem also strikes for a Mi Smart Speaker, that I also wanted to connect.

Steps taken so far:

- Removed app and reinstalled it

- Reset Google Nest Hub 5 and Mi Smart Speaker

Steps to reproduce:

- iOS language set to English

- App language set to German (as i want the voice assistant stuff in German)

How to overcome this error?

Thanks and regards

Jakob

Google Nest Support:

This is the sixth post about a kgsk error domain 83902 in the last week. Is something going wrong on Google Nest's servers?

I cannot link my Google Home account to my new Google Nest. The new device is listed under Local Devices but the operation cannot be completed, highlighting Domain error 83902 as the reason. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Pearlyqueen,

Thanks for posting and letting us know about your setup concern. Could you check if both your phone’s language and the Google Assistant language are both in English? Also, make sure that the address in your Google Home app is updated and that you are not using a work email.

I look forward to your response.

Regards,

Juni

Have sent emails. . Numerous times. Just spent over an hour on the chat help with no resolution.  My google nest hub is in a continuous update loop

I got the solution!
You have to change your phones region and language to that of the google home mini!
So I got a German one and had already the German region on my phone but also had to change the language to German.

Hi there. I have the same issue. Have re-set the Nest point, re-set the hub, changed the language on my iPhone and in the Google Home app and....nothing. Any advice @Juni ? Thanks.

And I have the same issue. Have done numerous factory resets but get the same error message on google home AND my nest max hub is in a continuous update cycle even though it reaches 100% it just cycles through and updates again.

I'm having the exact same issue - very frustrating.  Language and region aligned on phone and app.  Google, please help....

After a bit of playing around and changing / reverting / changing again all languages and regions to be the same I finally have success.  Does appear that language settings is the way to resolve (although that may not be the root cause). Wishing everyone luck in resolving as it’s very frustrating!

I also have the same issue I tried deleting everything. I tried every language. I then stupidly bought a whole new Nest speaker only to have the same issue follow me. Would be great if Google actually updated the software to sort this out.

Finally have it fixed. I was changing the language in the Home app multiple times to every language and it didn't work. I then got a suggestion to change the language and region in my phones setting. I have no idea why, but the language in my phone was set to English UK (I am in Australia). I reset the speaker, changed it back to Australia in my phone and in the Home app and it finally worked.
