google photo album not showing in nest hub settings

coxy

Hi so I managed to create an album in google photos, selected the album through google home to play on my hub. Got it working last night, all good. Tried adding another album this morning and now no albums are showing up in the google home photo frame settings.

Under preview it says "You have no albums in this account. Create albums and they will be available here."

I clearly have albums set up or I wouldn't have been able to view them last night and get my hub playing them.

Help please

I find that it is easier to set up Photo Frame in the Nest Hub. Say "OK Google, change Photo Frame". You can then go to a screen which shows all your albums. You can tap to select which ones you want to be used for Photo Frame.

 Hi Everyone,

Thanks for posting to our community.

@coxy -- Sorry to hear about your experience on using the photo album feature of the Google Nest display. To make sure that all of the photos you wanted to appear on your home screen, I would also suggest to mark those photos as "Favourites". If you have marked at least four photos in your collection as favourites, then this option will also appear in the album selection screen. If you select it, all the photos that you’ve marked as favourites will show on your display. Tap on the star icon to mark photos as favourites from within the Google Photos app or website.

@Davy123 -- I appreciate you suggestion.

Feel free to respond to this thread if you still have questions about this and I'd be glad to help.

I have tried all the suggestions but it is still showing the same message. I have no photos.  I have albums favorites etc. and the strange thing is I am able to set up photos on my Google kitchen display but not my 2 of the room google displays which are identical devices. I had Picture set up on both these devices but as of a week ago it just stopped working. I imagine it has something to do with settings that are enabled or disabled but I can’t seem to figure it out. I tried to do it on the nest device as well as on my home app to no avail. any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

@Momshopper10, sorry to hear about this. As you mentioned, you have checked the settings and nothing seems to work. May we know if all the display are using the same account? If yes, could you please try this? Let's adjust the photo frame settings and make sure that all the display have the same settings.

Google Home app:

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings and then Photo Frame and then adjust the settings you want.

Nest display:

  1. From the bottom of your Nest display screen, swipe up.
  2. Tap Settings .
  3. Tap Photo Frame and then adjust the settings you want.

If you have Voice Match enabled, you can also say “Hey Google, change Photo frame” to open Photo frame settings on your Nest display.

Let me know if this works for you.

Best,

Princess
