I am trying to add nest hub 2 to home app on iOS. The app discovers nest hub. Asks to scan code. After scanning the code app tries to connect to nest hub. After a while it says: unable to connect....
Check if local network is enabled in privacy settings.
It is enabled.
When I click get help, it says: looks like you are trying to set up device using Bluetooth. Try to set up with WiFi instead.
I can see the NestHub401... Network, but it is password protected and I don't know the password.
Any help with that?

See following info specific to iOS and iPadOS:

Are you sure this is relevant to nest hub 2 configuration? Either way none of it helps.

You've placed this topic in Nest Wifi, and it looked like a typical Nest Wifi problem. I'll move the thread to the correct place, hopefully someone there knows what to do. 🙂

Seems I messed up the order of replies a little in the moving process, sorry.
Found an earlier thread:
Other than making sure the Google Home app has access to the local network (a setting in iOS), it seems that restarting the router/Wifi fixed it for some.

Restarting WiFi did not help unfortunately

Hello bartek_75,
My apologies for the delayed response. I appreciate olavrb's help here. I know how challenging it is when you can't finish setting up your device. Let's try to get to the bottom of this.
A few questions:
Let's try these steps below:
If it's still the same, please proceed with resetting your Nest display by pressing and holding both volume buttons together, at the back of the Nest Hub (2nd gen), for about 10 seconds. You'll hear your Google Assistant confirm that it's resetting the Nest display.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi

1. iPad air 2, iOS 15.0.2
2. 2 meters
Resetting device did not help. It is not a new device. It was working before. I needed to change the account and language on the device. So I removed the device from previous home. Then I performed the hard reset.
As stated in the problem description the network name is NestHub401f.eyc and is password protected, so I can't connect to it.

Hi bartek_75,
Thank you for the information. To troubleshoot further, please try resetting your Nest display once again and attempt to connect it to a different network, such as a mobile hotspot. Please keep in mind that you will need two mobile devices for this setup. One device will serve as a router, while the other will be used to set up your Nest display. This will help us determine if the device exhibits the same behavior when connected to a different network.
Keeps us posted.
Cheers,
Muddi

Hi.
Connecting to mobile hotspot did not change anything. After reset device is found but configuration fails.

Hello there,
Thanks for trying. Since all troubleshooting steps have been exhausted, the next best thing to do is to replace your device. Could you tell us when and where you purchased your device?

Muddi
