So my google home screen has been broken for a while like the display is black and has green streaks all over. I was told to go to the google home app to forget the device and try to connect it again but because the screen is black, i cannot connect it has i cannot see the code or the qr code. is there any other way to connect back?

Hi fhrirbrin,

I’m sorry to hear about what happened to your Google Nest Hub’s display screen. Can you share a photo showing this?

Hello Karl23,

How did you do the reset? Can you also share a photo of your Google Nest Hub showing its screen?

Thanks,
Alex

No, reset did not change the condition of the hub, the screen has a white line down the R/H side and a greenish hue in the center, so it looks like the display has died.

Hey there,

Could you share with us a picture of your Nest Hub’s display screen showing the concern? Here’s how:

  1. Hit reply or Start a new post.
  2. Click Insert Image.
  3. Choose an image source location.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions
  5. Also, you can tap the "Drag and Drop" option. Maximum attachment is 5 MB.

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Dan

Sorry, but the Hub died, screen is black, so no point in sending an image. Was working fine then dead.

I think the screen driver has failed or what ever in the hub produces the video. Sound is OK, but the Hub is no longer recognized by the Home app after a reset, so with out a visual display (1st generation type) this cannot happen.

I have solved the problem.I have replaced the screen and the Nest is now working. The original screen failed and that was the problem.
