I keep getting this error on my speaker. Tried first rebooting and unplugging my Nest Hub. Every time I say Hey Google, it says something went wrong, try again in a few seconds. Or there was a glitch, try again in a few seconds. I ask a second time soon after the first and it answers my question. This just started happening out of the blue a few days ago. I'm pretty annoyed. Even a factory reset didn't work. Does anyone know what to do?

Sorry for the lack of updates here. I just wanted to check if anyone still getting "There was a glitch. Try again in a few seconds" when asking Google Home/Nest speakers to do some actions. Please do not hesitate to update the thread so we would know how many users are still having this issue.

This has been happening to me too the past week or so. I’ve rebooted my router multiple times, wiped and re-added my speakers, and deleted and redownloaded the Home app. Eager to hear of any fix.

Hey folks,
Bnivek, thanks for the suggested steps.
rjbrus3, please check if the steps above shared by Bnivek works for you. If not, try resetting your Google Nest Hub and try setting it up using a different network or mobile hotspot to isolate the issue.
We'll be waiting for your update.
Best,
Alex

The only thing that worked for me to resolve this was disabling IPv6 on my router.

For some reason, my Nest Hub does not play well with IPv6 either. After disabling it, all my issues seemed to go away.

Hi Alex,
My concern would be why my Google Home and Android TV aren’t working well with IPv6. Can you confirm this is being worked on?

This thread was active as of two days ago. Where is the update from google about Google speakers being able to work on IPv6?

Hi Bnivek,
Others have confirmed that it's already working on their end. Could you please tell us what's the make and model of the router where your Google Nest speakers are connected?
Best,
Princess

This happened to me recently as well. My Hub Max worked fine for over 2 years, then about the time the Fuchsia OS was rolled out, I began getting the "something went wrong" reply all the time. I have other devices also, and reminders worked on all except the Max. Upon disabling IPv6, it now works as it should. Rarely ever got any error reply until a couple of weeks ago, then all the time.

I’ve been having this problem for a month now. Factory reset and reboot several times Alhambra resolved it. I finally came on here looking for more answers. Can you help?

Have you tried disabling IPv6 on your router? That was what worked for me and we haven’t seen any updates here on the underlying issue being resolved.
