4k Chromecast causes TV to hum when displayed

Hi everyone I'm having a strange issue with my 4k CC, on my 75" 4k TV, when the device displays on the TV the is a low grade hum, no other device does this or causes it (AV amp, 4k BR player or laptop connected to the TV). It's ruining the experience of using it. Has anyone else experienced this and found a resolution. The TV is a Quantec which I've had no issues with with anything else, only the 4K CC.

Thanks 🙂

Hi Dual_Boot,

Thank you for posting in the community, I'm sorry to hear that your Chomecast is doing a buzzing sound.

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to gave these troubleshooting:

  • Please verify if you're using a compatible HDMI cable
  • Reboot Chromecast
  • Check the output format settings
    • At the top right of the TV screen, select All settings Settings.
    • Select Display & Sound Audio Options Output format.
    • In the section Output format, select Automatic to let the system set the best format.
  • Reboot the router
    • Disconnect the Wi-Fi router from the socket and leave it unplugged for 2 minutes then plug back in

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Rusell.
