Activate device and change wifi

I had to change my network and passwords for security reasons.  I can't get my Chromecast to work, and I can't find the WiFi in my Google home to reset everything.  I've run the device installer and get nowhere fast.  Please advise!

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. A few questions: what Chromecast device do you have connected to your TV? You mentioned that you made changes to the network, but did you change your router? What is the make and model of the device that you’re using for setup? What steps have you taken?

 

Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

 

  • Reinstall the Google Home app.
  • Try a factory reset, then set it up from scratch.
  • Reboot the router.
  • If it persists, connect it to a mobile hotspot instead.
