The Android 14 update has broken the device. The audio stutters in everything. Disabling HDMI-CEC and surround sound does nothing to address this.
How could you release an update so functionally broken?

Hi @ZYFERWARRIOR,
Thanks for posting in our community. I understand that you're experiencing audio stuttering on all your audio playback since the Android 14 update. I know how concerning this may be, especially after changing the audio settings with no positive result. I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts. No worries, let's work together to get this resolved. To help with that, I have a few questions for you:
Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
Regards,
Jonathan

Chromecast with Google TV (4K)
Not in power saving mode
Phone is irrelevant as it's not being used, device only.
The audio stuttering is with every app and it only occurs with this device. The stuttering is the audio only, the video will continue to play while the audio isn't.

Stop guessing what the problem is. Go back to the developers get them to recreate (should be easy) the problem and fix it. This release is appaling and not fit for purpose.

Two weeks and zero response. It's like they bricking devices on purpose to try and get you to buy the new one. Seems pretty intentional to push an update that doesn't work.
Meanwhile the Amazon Fire TV Cube works with no issues.

Mine was a 'new' device, on installation and set up the latest software update was applied. Not only was there audiio stuttering (PCM and Dolby Digital+) there was also brief flashing in the video (menus) and it couldn't really make up its mind with Dolby Vision. I have other streaming players (e.g. Vero-V) which are fine with my set up, but this was just ridiculous - no quality control or product assurance. I have since returned it (to Poland, which was wasn't easy, I had to jump through severl hoops... ) for a refund. Even the earlier 1080p Chromecasts performed better than this. Doesn't look to me like they will ever fix those basic problems.
