The audio stops working after a while when Chromecasting desktop (rather than tabs) from my Windows computer. I have tried Windows and VLC media players, but both cease working. Once I disconnect Chromecast, the audio on the computer resumes.
Someone had a similar issue with a solution involving 'flags'. I do not understand this concept.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. It may not be the Chromecast device issue; you were able to cast after all. This is more on the Chrome browser. I suggest you give our friends at the Google Chrome Help Community a shout. They may know a particular setting that can be toggled in Chrome://flags, or they may have a workaround for this. Let us know how it goes.
