BBC iplayer download & install

I’ve just installed Google Streaming TV on my Sony TV. It shows icons for terrestrial channels BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4 etc with the download from the cloud symbol. When I click to install it appears to download very quickly but doesn’t then install the App. I have the same problem with all the Apps. Advice please. NickB30

Thanks for your offer of help.  I'm now away for a few weeks.  I'll let you know the firmware when I get back.

I could download the apps that came with the Streamers - Netflix, Apple TV, etc.  It's the terrestrial TV apps that  I'm having trouble with.

My TV is a Sony Bravia with an Android operating system.  I decided to get the Google Streamer as an alternative to Android TV.  I can get the terrestrial TV apps on Android TV.

Hi,

This usually happens due to a temporary sync or software issue on Google TV. Try restarting your TV, checking your internet connection, and making sure your Google account is properly signed in. If the problem continues, clearing the Google Play Store cache or updating your TV’s system software often fixes it. I did the same thing and now it's working well.
