Volume increases by 2 points

Often the volume changes by increments of 2. If i click really fast on the remote control button it increments by 1. The other buttons does not behave like this.

I have a Philips 75" PUS8500.

In Google TV streamer settings the remote buttons Volume control is set to Philips TV (IR) because Auto (CEC) is not working.

Hello @Drio

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand you’re experiencing an issue where your Google TV Streamer Voice Remote increments the volume by two points at a time unless you click the button very rapidly. No worries; it’s a pleasure to assist you.

I appreciate you sharing these details with me. To isolate the cause, please perform the following steps:

  • Remove the batteries for at least 10 seconds, then reinsert them, and check if the issue persists.
  • Try using new AAA batteries.
  • Unplug the USB-C cable from the streaming device. Leave it unplugged for one minute, then plug it back in.
  • Reset the Voice Remote. For detailed instructions, please refer to the guide: Factory reset your Chromecast or Google TV Streamer Voice Remote.

Please let me know if these steps resolve the issue or if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Daniel

Hi,

i have tried the steps above which is:

- remove remote AAA batteries for 10s and use new ones

- unplug usb-c cable for 1min from google tv streamer

- reset voice remote to factory settings

there have been no changed behaviour after this and the same issue persist.

i have now instead changed Volume control settings from Philips TV (IR) to Google TV Streamer. This makes the volume to increment by 1 points correctly.
The drawback is that i sometime need to use the philips tv remove to control the volume as its not synced by google tv streamer.
