Hi @RickSchwarz ,

Can you check for updates on the Google Streamer and install if available and reboot either way? This is for the high contrast option only??

Edit...I didn't realize that you were using Macro Droid. Try settings that are native to the Streamer and let MD's support know you are having an issue.

You can find this in: settings and then System and then About and then System update.  Please let us know your firmware version and region.

Once you reboot and if you experience the same issue with the accessability settings please submit a feedback report via the device. (Also in the settings menu)

I will pass this thread over to our support team as well.

Jill

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the accessibility issues you're having with the app. Don't worry, I can help. Could you please be more specific about the on and off option that is not working as you expected?

Hi RickSchwarz,

Thanks for your reply and the explanation of the situation that you are experiencing with the accessibility setting on the app. I would appreciate it if you could send us a video or the recording showing the toggle on and in blue color so we can further assist. Here's how to do it:

  1. Enter the community.
  2. Select the product
  3. Click on “Start a conversation.”
  4. You will see these screens.
  5. Click on "Drag and drop here or browse files to attach".

Please let me know how that goes. I'll be waiting for your response.

Regards,

Jenny

Hi @RickSchwarz,

Thanks for the reply!

In this case, I'd appreciate it if you could share some pictures about the accessibility issues you're having with the app by clicking on the "camera icon."

Additionally, to better assist you, I’d like to gather the following information:

  • What is the name of the app that you're experiencing this inconvenience with?
  • Do you have any Nest devices that are linked to this app? If so, what is the model of the Nest device?

Please feel free to share any additional details that might be helpful to assist you efficiently.

Best regards,

Jenniffer

Are there any updates to this issue? I am encountering the same problem on the Google TV streamer. On my Google Pixle phone that is also on Android 14, I get the warning that restricted settings need to be enabled for the app, and when I do that then I can keep accessibility turned on for my sideloaded apk. Unfortunately, that behavior doesn't occur on the Google TV streamer though it is also on Android 14.
