Hello, anyone else having issues with moving onto the next episode for shows that are in your library via Google Streamer?
It's quite annoying having to go back into your library every time you want to move onto the next episode of a show.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jesse

Hi alcockenator,
Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing trouble moving onto the next episode automatically for your streaming service using your Google TV Streamer 4K. I understand how frustrating this must be. Let's work together to find a solution.
To further assist you, please answer the following questions:
When did the situation start?
What type of streaming service are you experiencing trouble with?
What type of TV or phone are you using to display the streaming show?
What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?
Please keep me posted.
Regards,
Byron

Hi Byron,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I have had the issue ever since I have had the Streamer. I did not have this issue with the previous Chromecast with Google TV I had.
I am trying to watch a series that I purchased through Google TV that is in my library.
The TV I am using is an LG TV.
I have attempted to see if there was a Enable Binge Watching in the settings of the Streamer but I could not see any. I tried to reboot the Streamer but the issue persists.
I have since found a work around by casting the episodes with my mobile phone and the next episode plays after the current one finishes.
Apologies I am missing something obvious.
Regards,
Jesse

Hi alcockenator,
Thank you for your quick response. I appreciate the detailed information.
Based on what you've told me, try the following:
Check your playback settings within the streaming app. Here are the steps:
Open the streaming app or service you're using.
Head over to its settings or look for playback controls (sometimes you can find this during or after an episode).
Keep an eye out for options related to "Auto Play," "Play Next Episode," or similar terms and ensure this feature is enabled.
Give removing and then re-adding your library a shot.
Additionally, could you let me know if this is happening with all your streaming services or just one in particular? That'll give me a better idea of what might be going on.
Please keep me posted.
Regards,
Byron

Hi Byron,
Thanks for the reply. Update on the above.
The play next episode is working fine on all streaming services and always has. It is when I try to play anything from my Google library that I am getting the issue.
Another work around I have found, I can watch my shows through YouTube as the library is also located on that app.
Cheers for your help.

Hi alcockenator,
Thank you for your prompt reply. I appreciate the detailed information. Let's explore additional options.
Based on your answers, please do the following:
Restart your Google TV Streamer, your phone, and the apps: Force close the streamer service on your Google TV Streamer; also restart your phone or TV.
Clear the app's cache and data. Here are the steps:
Go to your device's settings, then Apps (or Apps & notifications).
Find the specific Google app you're using.
Tap Storage & Cache, and then Clear Cache.
Try Clear storage (or Clear data), but be aware that it might sign you out of the app.
Within the Google app, go to your profile or settings and sign out. Then, sign back in with your Google account.
Check if other videos in your library play correctly. If the issue is only with one video, there might be a problem with that specific file.
Try playing the video on a different phone, tablet, or computer to see if the problem is device-specific.
Please let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Byron
