Hi!
Just like another user in 2024, I'm seeing the message "Includes paid promotion" on top of the entire vídeo duration!
At the time, @nerys tried to help but did not receive any answers for his questions.
I'll try to engage as much as possible because it's driving me crazy!
I have another similar issue when connecting and immediately playing a video that the Chromecast home banner is also stuck.
Disconnecting and connecting again usually solves this one, I'm just saying because it may bem relevant.
@nerysquestions at the time were:
look at the top left corner, that's the issue.
I hope this is enough information to star a conversation.
Any help is welcome!
Ps: English is not my primary language, please be patient.

Hi @edugaedke,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I understand that your Chromecast includes paid promotion, and a banner is stuck when you are playing video. I'm happy to help you right now.
Based on the information we have, you don't see ads because you are paying for YouTube Premium, but keep in mind that even with YouTube Premium, you may still get disclosures for sponsored content directly added by creators.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.
Regards,
Gabriela

Hello!
Correct, the banner is expected and is expected do be shown for some seconds but stays on screen during the full video duration.
What I expect is to get some guidance on how to fix on my side or at least inform the Google Chromecast team about this issue and I expect it to be solved sometime.
Have a nice day,
Eduardo

Additionally, as I mentioned on my first post, this issue of UI elements staying on screen over the video not only happens with the "promotion banner" but with the controller information too.
Example (I remembered to enable "stats for nerds", maybe it's useful for debugging, IDK):

Hi @edugaedke,
Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the information and the pictures you provided me. I'm happy to help you.
The time you see the sponsored banner depends on the creator. Regarding the controller information, it is best that you get in touch with the YouTube Help Community; they can provide you with the right information and troubleshooting steps to fix your Google Assistant issue.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.
