Bug: Chromecast Ambient Clock element became tiny

I turned on my television today to find that the clock in the bottom right of the Ambient screen became tiny:  https://photos.app.goo.gl/TWqNwjNJsM4XCKM8A 

It was much better when the large clock component could be seen from across the room. Rebooting the Chromecast and hiding and re-enabling the clock accomplished nothing. This is clearly a bug. 

Can the clock be made large again? Thanks!

Why would they make the time smaller and harder to read?

I have 3 chromecasts that I use with cheap projectors as clocks, they project a clock onto walls that need a clock, but can't have a clock hanging on them I have most of the screen black, with just the clock in the ideal position. now the clock is smaller than the weather, and is too small to be seen on all of my chromecasts this change only makes sense as a way to force people to throw out old chromecasts instead of reusing them.

There are several clock apps that would be better to use than the time in the corner of the screen, however, due to google's policy of rebooting every chromecast once per night, it isn't possible to use a clock app for more than 24 hours

Same issue here. If i have stand a foot from the TV, what's the point? It was the perfect size to see from anywhere in the room before this "update". Google, MAKE IT BIGGER AGAIN PLEASE

Same issue, it's super frustrating. I used to be able to check the clock from the next room.

The google photos clock was perfect and I kept it on in my house all day.  Sadly it's now unusable. I did discover that my Roku has clocks so I've switched over to Roku until they fix it. I've also noticed my phone casts to Roku a little more easily.  Maybe it's time to give up the Chromecast.

It seems this is on purpose to force us to another new device, like battery-gate.  Not a conspiracy theorist but a chance like this doesn't seem like an accident.  Code releases, especially at Google should be more strictured.  This is problem for all people who have visibility needs.  Poor form Google.

I have a regular chromecast, no google TV. It's a 3rd generation chromecast device and I too ma experiencing the small clock issue. At about 2m from the TV, it's 100% unreadable. I need to be about 15cm from the tv to read it.

Yup, another time where I wake up in the middle of the night and have no idea what time it is.  Maybe I'll go back to a regular clock.  Sorry Google, kinda lost faith in you, its been days now.

Any resolution for this at all? It's a bummer, it was very convenient being able to glance over and see the time and temp. Not the end of the world (someone said "evil" above, lol) but maybe the majority preferred the previous display. Stay awesome, everyone 👍

Same here. There should be a way to customize the font size. Each user may have different preferences but mine is the old big one

What is the answer about the time/weather too small. I need a clock and weather that I can see without getting up, walking over to my TV. I loved having it on my family photos.

Made an account just to add to this.   This is so annoying. I've sent in 4 feedbacks regarding this.  Not to mention i no longer have ambient settings to adjust.  The menu is just gone.    It's getting worse and worse.   wth Google.   What a stupid decision and or error.   Why even TOUCH the clock and weather in updates.   It was perfect.

Although you didnt have to turn it off and back on to have gotten the smaller font it seems that you have to do that to get rid of it. Finally have a clock that i can see!

Fr I used to be able to glance at the clock in bed to see the time without even needing my glasses in the morning and now I can't do that and I end up oversleeping, bring back the big clock in the corner, not this abysmally small one.
