Bug: Chromecast Ambient Clock element became tiny

I turned on my television today to find that the clock in the bottom right of the Ambient screen became tiny:  https://photos.app.goo.gl/TWqNwjNJsM4XCKM8A 

It was much better when the large clock component could be seen from across the room. Rebooting the Chromecast and hiding and re-enabling the clock accomplished nothing. This is clearly a bug. 

Can the clock be made large again? Thanks!

Please change the ambient clock font size back to the size it was. The new size is too small to read. A font size at least 2x is desirable. Similar to the temperature font size. Thanks.

Same thing happened to me today and since I have an astigmatism and no sense of time I really hate it. From reading the above replies apparently there’s nothing I can do.

The font size for the clock time just got way too small. Bring back the previous font size please!

I use my Chromecast in Ambient mode as my main house click as I ready myself to leave for work… having the clock at this size makes it unusable. 

having no sizing options in the app is just unconscionable…

Open reply to anyone at Google who matters.
Why would anyone make a global change the a default without providing ANY control over it. Font Size surely is not a difficult implimentation, it must have been available in the back end to make this change. Just let the users have this control and you can stop wasting developer time deciding what size fone the clock should be.

Please at least give us the option to show the clock in the old large format. This new feature is simply change for change sake. It offers no improvement to the software.

I literally watched it change last night one second the clock was big enough to read now i cant even read it from my couch. We used it as our main clock in the house now the text is smaller than my phones font. Its completely unreadable even to those in my house that dont wear glasses.

We're coming up on 24 hours now and there's still no resolution to the size of the ambient screen clock/temp display?  

What's the point of the clock display at if you can't see it from across the room?

Obviously something was done that changed the size for many, if not all, users. Why can't it just be reverted to the size it was before the evil change that everyone hates?

Or at least provide a valid reason for the change and solution for repair?

I'm so aggravated with this nonsense right now and my confidence and satisfaction in Google right now is low.

Ok - so it’s not just me. It’s driving me crazy having the clock and temp that small.  I leave my television on that screen when I’m not watching it and I’m used to looking up from every so often to see what time it is.

Some may enjoy the more elegant time and weather widget, more space for the artwork ant etc, however it seems for many, including myself, it is impractical… Please add a smol, mid, big, size selector and keep most people happier.

I have the same problem. It is useless to have such a small tiny clock and weather display. 

I HOPE THEY PUT IT BACK TO PREVIOUS SIZE SOON. I let my screen on to see the clock and the weather, no point for it now. I cannot see it.

I really hope this is a bug, considering the time is smaller than the temperature now. If they were the same size I could see it being on purpose. But the time is what I need to see more frequently from across the room. It should be larger and above the temperature like before.

I feel like the temperature was also bigger before but I can't say for sure.

My chromecast is getting a bit old, and my TV has been having issues. If I have to replace them, this issue is adding to the reasons to go to something besides chromecast... Not just do to usability, but due to a pattern of taking away things that are useful to the customer.

Same thing happened to me. I have 3 Chromecast(s) and all are the same. It strains my eyes it's so small.
