Can I create schedules within the Home app to automatically turn specific devices on or off?

Hi everyone, I'm curious if the Home app allows for scheduling to automatically turn certain devices on or off. Has anyone tried this feature or knows how to do it? Thanks!

I saw this but did not understand https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7029585?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid

Yes, you can absolutely do that. Assuming the devices you want to create a schedule for are already showing in your Google Home app, follow these steps:

  1. In the Google Home app, tap the Automations tab, then tap Add.
  2. Choose whether you want it to be a Household or Personal routine.
  3. Give the routine a name by tapping the pencil icon next to Untitled.
  4. Choose Add starter, then in your case tap At a specific time.
  5. Set your options, then tap Add starter.
  6. Tap Add action, then tap Adjust Home devices.
  7. Select your device, check the box next to Turn on or off, then select if you want it to turn on or off.
  8. You can repeat step 7 for as many devices you want to turn on or off at the same time.
  9. Tap Add action, then tap Save.

If you want to turn a device on at a specific time and off a specific time, you'll need to create two separate routines to do that, one that turns it on and one that turns it off.
