I cannot get my chromecast to connect to my wifi or phone. I'm not entirely sure which. I keep getting a message popping up on the very last step of the Google Home set up that says "Could not communicate with your chromecast." This happens every time after I give it access to the wifi.

Quick questions — what's the LED light status in your Chromecast (solid or flashing white)? What's the distance between the router and the Chromecast device?
Please manually connect to the Chromecast SSID. Here's how: Go to the phone’s Settings > Open WiFi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set up again.
If the issue persists, please try the additional steps below:
