How do I recover the Google pin on my daughter's Chromecast?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello Jennifer (and Jeran!) My problem is in relation to the pin on my child's Chromecast. Firstly I have forgotten it and secondly, I was wondering if apps can be installed like YouTube with my consent of course.

Thanks for getting back to us. Could you please confirm if you have a Chromecast with Google TV? Also, is the pin you're pertaining to is the guest mode pin or pin for the kid's lock feature of your Chromecast? If it's with the Guest mode pin, check the steps listed on the link I've provided above. On the other hand, if you are pertaining to the pin for the kid's profile, please be advised that this is the same PIN or password that you use for Google Pay and other Google services. If you can't remember the pin you set, there is also an option to reset it. Just click on the "forgot pin" option.

 

Under kids profile, I'm afraid you can only install apps that are only suitable for kids. Visit this support website article to learn more about parental controls on your Chromecast with Google TV.
