Can't use Google Assistant for playing music

So, i want to use my Google Assistant to play music on my Spotify TV app, so i press the voice assist button in the remote and say like "play the chainsmokers song in my spotify" after that it load for a while and then my spotify app just opened but after in the home page of spotify tv, it play nothing, and then when i say again same sentence to Google Assistant when inside the homepage spotify tv but still it won't play my song that i requested. Any help?

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. I assume that you are using a Chromecast with Google TV device that is attached to your TV since you mentioned that you do the voice command using the remote. Can you try and link your Spotify account to your phone’s Google Home App? Please ensure that the same account is logged in on both the Chromecast device and the Google Home App on your phone. Perform a sequential reboot on the involved devices (Chromecast device, TV, router, smartphone with the Google Home App). Let me know how it goes.

Is there any steps to add my spotify account into Google home app because i can't find some of it. I only linked it into my Google assistant which is in my first reply

Hello Mike_1094,

Thanks for the reply. Try to link it in your Google Home app by hitting the (+) plus icon > Service > Music > Spotify. You can try to do a full clean-up by unlinking Spotify, then reinstalling both the Google Home and Spotify apps. Login first to Spotify, then link it to the Google Home app. Perform a sequential reboot on the involved devices. If it persists, perform a factory reset on your Chromecast device, and after setting it up, install and login to your Spotify account. Let me know how it goes.

i have also unlink and link again my spotify account, i tested in both condition (when on unlink condition and when linked condition) but still it can't play music

Since all other apps are working, this must be isolated to the Spotify app. Kindly check the related threads here in the Spotify Community or contact them directly. Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. If this is isolated only to the Spotify app and setting it up from scratch didn’t help, I suggest that you check for related threads here in the Spotify Community. You can also contact them directly. Let us know if you have other concerns.
