Cannot find Google Home panel on new Google TV Streamer

I just bought and installed the new Google TV Streamer and the Google Home panel is not showing up for me. Is it just supposed to appear? I went in Settings and didn't see anything related to it. I have multiple cameras, lights, Nest thermostats, etc that I was told would show up on the screen.
