My chromecast 3rd gen 10395a-G454v frequently disconnects and reconnects from the Wi-Fi. I have another chromecast downstairs that is further away from the Wi-Fi router that connects and works with no random loss of connection. I have high speed internet connection so that also should not be at fault. I do the classic of replug and unplug the dysfunctional chromecast, reconnect and disconnect from Wi-Fi, signing in and out but it still randomly lags and disconnects from the Wi-Fi. I tried chromecast support and received no help beyond the class IT suggestions of unplug and replug. I am really frustrated because this chromecast is closer to the Wi-Fi router than the other functioning one. Please suggest fixes or send a replacement

A patchy wifi connection can sometimes mean a congested wifi channel / frequency. Try changing the wifi channel in your router / hub uses. Download a "wifi analyser" from your favourite app store which should be able to tell you which channels are congested and which are not.
