So I’m on a college campus where the wifi situation is a bit weird there are two networks. One for devices and one for phones and computers and such. The school ITS services say that it should still connect and even after getting the chrome cast on the wifi I can’t add it to my google home devices or connect and cast with my wifi ITS hasn’t really been helpful so I was wondering if someone had a solution here

According to this you need AP Isolation turned off on the network which is something only one of the network college admin can do, worth asking if they'll check for you

Hi folks,
Thanks for the help here, Pattonator14.
Charlos, hope that helps. Also, please take note that schools often have a restricted network configuration that can cause issues with Chromecast setup.
Feel free to reach back if you have other questions and concerns. We're here to help.
Thanks,
Jennifer

It doesn't work yet but I'm working with tech services on campus to find the issue on their network so I think you can close the thread if you want
