Chrome cast not working, Laptop to TV

After casting my desktop (from laptop via chrome cast) the screen freezes on TV, nothing happens further, I can only see a freezed image of my laptop screen on TV.

How to resolve this ?

I'm sure this issue can be frustrating but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?

I've tried all the troubleshoot programs available but nothing worked and therefore yes I still need help.

Hey there shriyakjain

I know this response is long overdue, but if you are still having that same freezing issue, I'll just need to ask a few questions to better understand where the issue is:

  • What Operating System are you using?
  • What model of TV are you casting to?
  • Are you able to cast a Google Chrome tab?
  • Is Google Chrome up-to-date?
  • Does the audio from the desktop play while the screen is frozen?

In any case, if you have the time, try casting your desktop from Google Canary to see if the issue persists.
