Hi

Got my third ChromeCast with Google TV greate value 🙂 But in my RV i have a TV by the brand DYON and it´s not listed hence i cant get the remote to work.

Are their anyone that know what ekvivalent brand to select instead that would work or are their any list online that can assist with this ?

Thanks in advance

/Peter

Hi @Ranemyr

Most brands do work because of the HDMI CEC implementation it has.
If this is not done well, it could cause issues not supporting the input for your TV.
Within the link are some brand names. 😊

Thanks, i have enabled the HDMI CEC and with this i can use the TV original remote to control both TV and Chromecast. But using the Chromecast remote i can only control the ChromeCast.

The Tv´s original remote is huge with a  bunch of buttons so i would prefer to use the ChromeCast remote if possible.

Hi @Ranemyr

Did you try the troubleshooting found in the link?

Fix a problem

If voice commands aren’t working, especially if they've worked before, try the steps below:
  1. Make sure that your Chromecast firmware version is updated.
  2. Make sure your TV's firmware is updated by checking the TV user manual. You may also contact your TV manufacturer to verify.
  3. Make sure CEC is turned on (for some TVs, adjusting certain settings can turn off CEC automatically).
  4. Switch Chromecast to a different HDMI port.
  5. Unplug the TV, wait 10 minutes, and plug it back in.
  6. Try using a different voice command.
  7. If you’ve turned the TV on or off repeatedly during a short period of time, the voice commands may briefly stop working. Wait about 10 minutes before trying again.

Hi RXShorty

1: Updated to latest version both ChromeCast and the remote.

2. No update avail

3: CEC is turned on and also found the ChromeCast in same menu

4; Only HDMI1 available

5: Done

6: Voice command is no issue

7:  Se point 6

Hi @Ranemyr

I am sorry, I am out of options to get it working.
Not sure if the CEC implementation of your TV is supported. 🙄

To add to what RXShorty mentioned, it would be impossible for Google to list absolutely every TV brand/manufacturer unfortunately. You can use some trial and error by selecting the other manufacturer's listed. Alternatively, try a Google search or see if they have forums to see if someone else may have found one that works for your brand of TV.
