Chromecast 1st

Hi guys can someone help me in regards to my Chromecast it's the round one that I have set-up to my Samsung tv..It streams properly but for some reason it won't mirror my android device it was mirroring fine for the last 2years and all of a sudden the screen just goes black when I mirror my phone and the volume goes crazy straight up to 100%..

I tried using another Chromecast in loungeroom I think it's 3rd gen it's the round one as well and it still does the exact same thing it streams okay but will not mirror my phone to the t.v.

• How far are your Chromecast devices from the router?
• How far are you from the TV when trying to mirror your android device?
• Is your Internet connection stable?
• Has there been any changes on the router settings?
• Are the devices connected to the same network?
