Hi, since yesterday l have been unable to connect to my chromecast using my phone (Samsung A53). I can go through setup ok, finding the device, entering the numbers, it says connected on my tv screen, however the last message l get on my phone is 'your chromecast has been setup, but can't be found. Make sure your phone and chromecast are on the same Wi Fi network'.
It is on the same Wi Fi network, however when l went to check my phones network, it was connected to my current wifi, but underneath that in available networks it had chromecast5342.v, and underneath that it has 'internet not connected'. I have never seen this before and only appears while l am trying to setup my chromecast.
I have tried, rebooting everything, chromecast, phone, modem but it still doens't work from my phone, however l can connect via my daughters samsung tablet.
Can anyone help please?

Hi Natasha75,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. About the network chromecast5342.v that shows up, it happens when the Chromecast device is not set up yet. It broadcasts its availability for connection, which you can manually pair with your setup device (phone) if you can’t seem to find the device via the Google Home App. You mentioned that it worked with the Samsung tablet, this means something is on your phone that seems to cause this. You can proceed with setting it up using the tablet. You’re not required to set it up with each phone or device that you want to cast with. One-time setup, and the rest of the phones and devices just need to be connected to the same network and should be good to go. Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Kimy
