My Chrome 4K remote control gets extremely hot, when I put batteries in it. It doesn't work or light up, with the batteries in. It just heats up. I've tried factory resetting it. But nothing works. The remote hasn’t been damaged in any way, so I don’t understand why it randomly stopped working all of a sudden, after changing the batteries.

Hi MoonwalkerLuke,
Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. Chances are the new batteries may have grounded the remote. It’s important to use a good-quality battery. Try this workaround using a new set of batteries.
Let us know how it goes. We look forward to your response.
Thanks,
Kimy

Hello Kimy.
Thanks for replying. I've already tried all the above steps, as I saw the described in another thread. Unfortunately, the problem persists. I’ve been using Duracell batteries, and I’ve never had any problems with quality when buying these. However, I’ve narrowed down the source of the heat to one specific 3-pinned capacitor which sits right beneath the “enter” button. The capacitor gets extremely hot. What do I do from here.
I’m looking forward to your reply.
Thanks,
Luke
