Both our gen 3 chromecasts are having connection issues. When we go to cast to devices from any app, it does not show.
our Google Nest device shows everytime but our Chromecasts will take some time.
Often we need to either turn off and on Chromecast several times and wait for the Chromecast to become discoverable (doesn’t work every time) or we connect to the Google Nest then disconnect and sometimes the Chromecast is discoverable. Other times it takes a comnbination of the two methods to connect.
Both Chromecasts experienced the same issue at the same time. Our internet is fine and the ambient screen shows for both Chromecasts but just isn’t discoverable on our phones.
There are no Google Home app updates available either.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. This can be a communication failure, either from the network or the casting sources. Try to perform a sequential reboot on each involved device (Chromecast devices, routers, phones, casting sources, etc.) to refresh communication. You can also isolate possible network issues if you move these devices to a mobile hotspot. Let us know how it goes.
