Chromecast Google TV not connecting to wifi

Hi

My Google tv Chromecast was working until I needed to set up internet with a new provider.
It is not a locatable device now. Not in the Google home app or as a SSID through wifi settings.
I have factory reset, rebooted phone and router many times. Tried different plugs and have it sitting next to the router. Router is a Google Nest.
All of my other devices have connected just fine.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thankyou

It sounds like you've already tried the steps below? After factory reset, you should see it broadcasting it's own setup Wi-Fi network, does that happen?

If you've already changed to a different Wi-Fi network, try these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top left, tap Add + > Set up device > New device > set up new devices in your home.
  3. Follow the in-app steps.

If these steps above don’t solve the issue, you’ll need to factory reset your Chromecast, then set it up again using your new Wi-Fi network and password. If you're using Chromecast with Google TV, follow these setup steps instead.

Instead of factory resetting your Chromecast, if you're comfortable changing your router settings, you can change your new Wi-Fi network name and password in your router's settings to be the same as the previous ones. Your device should then automatically connect to the Wi-Fi.

Thankyou.

I was a bit dramatic. It turns out I needed to repair the remote. Which I totally forgot about. And once I put the Chromecast in the "right" HDMI point I could see the set up on screen.

Thanks again for your time 😊
