Chromecast I can’t cast certain apps

I have just bought my first chrome cast, and can’t figure out how to stream or cast from certain apps, Optus sport and paramount plus to be specific. 

I am actually lost as there is no help from the individual apps and all the advice on the net says the same old simple instructions, which aren’t working, 

has anyone had this issue before that could maybe give me some sort of direction to go in 

many help you could give me would be greatly appreciated and many thanks in advance

There are 10s of thousands of cast-enabled apps.  But, not every app has been enabled by their developer.  Because the individual companies do these and because there are so many, Google can't publish instructions for every app.

If you don't see the casting icon, make sure you are logged into the same WiFi network as your Chromecast, and then check the help screens for that particular app to see if they do casting and how.  Try doing a Google search to see if they've posted anything.
