I recently purchased a Chromecast (I am unsure which generation it is) and there is no power supply in the box. I've tried just plugging into the HDM port on my TV but the light doesn't even come on on the dongle. Surely there should be a power cable in the box? I have been unable to contact the supplier as the email support address is invalid? Have I been ripped off?

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. You can check here to see which version of Chromecast device you have. But each Chromecast device has its own power cord that comes with it when you purchase it. You may really need to reach out to the seller because you received an incomplete package.
