Surround sound not working with some apps, most recently Hulu. I am getting only stereo. I am able to get full 5.1 sound with Hulu using the app on my smart LG OLED TV. I have a Sony receiver fully capable of surround sound, which works fine with most apps. Hulu just won't play surround sound using Chromecast.

Chromecast with Google TV having trouble with 5.1 what happened with this thread with above 300 posts? Was it an issue sooo big, that you had to remove the whole thread? Is there something you want to hide for new users??

Hey there Jaromyre,
The old threads are still there and public, we have just migrated to a new system. Google is very aware of the 5.1 Surround Sound issue with Chromecast with Google TV. While I do not yet have an update on the status of the issue, please know that we are working on it and will provide an update as soon as we can.

Lol, the same response I'm getting every time from support even after escalations.. From a year!!!! Seriously?? Not even funny anymore..

It is a current ongoing issue that we have identified as a bug, and we are working on it and, unfortunately, there is no ETA on it. I am going to close this thread in 24 hours if there are no new issues or concerns.

Cause they sweeping it under a rug man! All previous chromecast versions did not have this problem.. How dificult may it be and how much google can ignore users??
