It's been a couple of days and my remote stopped working with my tv.
At first it was just the volume buttons that did nothing but the mute and power kept working, but now not even those work.
Has a new update broke the HDMI/IR link to my tv??
I tought it was the batteries that where lacking but just add a pair of new ones and still the remote wont work.
I have played with the remote configuration (CEC/IR) but nothing works.
The only way for me to turn down the volume rn is to change the volume control to "chromecast" but when i do, something happens with the audio config and videos sound weird, like, bg music and sfx suddendly become louder than voices. It's so strange!
Should I factory reset or is there any other to make it work?

I've had this happen before to me. I replaced the batteries in the remote and did a full reset. It's been run fine every since. I do change the batteries often to make sure this doesn't happen to me again. FYI.

Hi @AlkhemiaStudio,
Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you are having trouble with your TV remote no longer controlling your Chromecast with Google TV, even though you have replaced the batteries on your TV controller and tried to change the CEC/IR configurations. I'll be happy to provide you with more information.
@sbfoto, Thanks for jumping in.
The main controller for the Chromecast with Google TV is its own remote. The issue is that the HDMI-CEC protocol, which allows your TV remote to work, is not considered standard functionality and is easily interfered with by system updates, leading to the sudden loss of control.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Derick.
