As you can see the chromecast is listed twice.

I left that home, uninstalled Home app and signed out from the device from accounts.google.com.

So this is a local device (a device that does not belong to me and is listed because I am in the same wifi)

This happens on Samsung A12.

There are other tablets / phones in the same network that have my google account and do not have this problem.

A12 has this problem regardless if it is a chromecast 3rd generation or one with google tv (hd).

Hi drgt,

Since this issue is isolated to your Samsung A12, let's troubleshoot it. Try to forget the WiFi on your phone > Restart phone > Reconnect to the WiFi. Let me know how it goes.

Alex

Done what you suggested, still listed twice.

Hi there,

Are you using a dual-band router? If yes, try to connect your Samsung phone on the same band as your Chromecast with Google TV (HD) device and forget the other band. If the issue persists, I suggest you contact Samsung support to check if there’s any settings in your phone you need to configure.

Best,
Alex

I do not think this router ZXHN H268N is a dual band.Screenshot_20230902-121338_Chrome.jpg

Hello drgt,

Thanks for checking. When did you notice this behavior? Try to reboot your router, phone and your Chromecast devices, then check again. If the issue persists, monitor it for few more days.

Kind regards,
Alex

Nothing seems to help. I will try Samsung support but I do not hope much...

Thanks!

Hi drgt,

That’s what we think, since other devices don't seem to experience the same behavior. It could be something installed on your Samsung phone, like apps, or something in the settings. Let us know what you found out with the Samsung support.

Thanks,

Kimy
