Chromecast can't see my wifi unless it's WPS is on

Nada_Ahmed

Chromecast just can't seem to find my Wifi, it practically sees every Wifi network in the town except mine not even through QR code, I noticed that it can only see it when I turn on WPS.

My security is WPA2 personal, I don't know anything about these things so is there something I should change in my router modem settings?

Chromecast doesn't use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) as it's not secure, so that's not going to help you I'm afraid. I'm assuming your other devices, such as your phone can see and connect to your Wi-Fi without issue? You're not using a hidden Wi-Fi network?

Try these steps:

If you're still having trouble, be sure to try the alternate setup steps as well. Let us know how you get on!
