Chromecast connection

My Chromecast says it can't connect to wifi that I need to please check my wifi network name

Hello MissAmanda13,

 

Thanks for reaching out to the Chromecast Community! Let's sort this out.

 

A few questions: what type of Chromecast device do you have? What's the LED status on your Chromecast? Is this an initial set up or working previously?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Make sure the Chromecast device is within 15 to 20 feet of the setup device and the Wi-Fi router.
  2. Toggle Wi-Fi off and on from the setup device.
  3. Reboot your router.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reboot your Chromecast device.
  6. Close and reopen the Google Home app.
  7. If you're using an iOS device, turn on the Local Network Access.
  8. Use a different mobile device.
  9. Perform a factory reset.
