Chromecast could not connect network from wifi extender

My Chromecast can connect to wifi when I put it side by side with wifi router. But when I plug it another tv/monitor where the distance between wifi is less than 20 foot step, the Chromecast could not connect to network.

Hence I provide a wifi extender with AP Mode, but it still not works, I am very frustrated about it

Hi Djoem12,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that you can only connect your Google Chromecast (3rd Gen) to your WiFi network when you put it side by side with your router, but when you try to plug it into another TV set where the distance between the device and the router is less than 20 feet, the Chromecast couldn’t be connected to your network. Thank you for letting us know that you are trying to use a WiFi extender with AP mode, but it still does not work. No worries, help is here.

Based on the information you’ve provided, I recommend you disable AP isolation on your Wi-Fi extender to work with your Wi-Fi network. because this configuration may prevent devices from communicating with Google streaming devices.

Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.

Best regards,

Virna
