Hello Chromecast can’t connect to WIFI.

im using iPhone 12 with router DLINK X1852E.

Chromecast light is white and is 10ft from IOS Device. I have reset my iPhone, factory reset Chromecast, unplugged router and restarted it.

iPhone can find Chromecast and can see the code on screen.
it can see the network, accept the password and says it’s connected.

it the drops out and has an error message.

Family room TV may be set up, but we could not communicate with it from your iPhone. Make sure that you have enabled local network access in your iPhone’s privacy settings. Then try again

I turn off local network turn it back on but still no luck connecting.

any help appreciated?

Hey there AndrewL,

I apologize for the late response, and thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that connection issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out. For now, go ahead and follow the steps for setup that davidking posted in this thread. Once you try those steps, let me know if the error still persists.

I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.

Best regards,
Jeran
