Hi,

This is my second CGWTV and I have the same issue with both 4k and HD version. I am using Google home as an audio output via Bluetooth but initially the google home gets connected and works fi ne however after few minutes/hours it randomly disconnects and does not connect back unless i repair it with my CGWTV. Both the devices are on latest firmwares and I do not expect such bad behaviour between Google's own ecosystem. Google home is working fine with all other mobile devices and have no disconnection issues except my CWGTV. Is there any solution to this issue or any settings that need to be amended ??

"Note: All devices have been factory reset and no that does not resolve the problem and the disconnection still happens.

Hi nick94,

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. The Google Nest speakers and/or displays don't support being a slave speaker or soundbar for Chromecast with Google TV. These smart speakers are home automation devices first, and speakers function second. You may witness it working for a moment as a Bluetooth speaker, but as soon as it activates its smart functions (calendar check, routines, recognizing voice queues, etc.), it loses its connection to the Chromecast device. It’s best to pair a true Bluetooth speaker which will function as a slave audio output. There’s nothing wrong with your devices; it is by design, which is why it happens.

I hope this sheds some light on the situation. Let us know if you have other questions.

Thanks,

Kimy
