Chromecast set up

So I have set up my chromecast and as soon as I do, in my google home app it comes up as Hall TV offline and when I click the Hall Tv icon it takes me to this notification saying Disconnected device. Connect to your Wifi to cast etc. So I'm unable to cast from my MacBook chrome anything on the tv. the apps run perfectly fine but I'm unable to cast anything. Ive reset the chromecast, factory reset it. Disconnected the chromecast and plugged it back in. Its been 3 days of constant connecting, disconneting, resetting etc. I am very confused as to what the problem is

Hi Bjayaseelan,

 

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. Based on your description, this must be a Chromecast with Google TV (4K or HD), which is connected to Wi-Fi and can play the installed apps but is unable to cast to it. Did you see any messages upon the completion of setup? A lot of factors can cause this. Try to disconnect the Chromecast device and the casting source from Wi-Fi and connect to a mobile hotspot. If it works, then this could be related to the network. Check if the AP Isolation on your router is enabled. Click this link for more information. I look forward to your response.
