Chromecast sets volume to 100%

I have a new chromecast with GoogleTV connected to a Polk MagniFiMax soundbar. The soundbar output is connected via ARC HDMI to TV. When the Chromecast comes out of sleep/hibernate mode, it sets the volume on the soundbar to 100% even though it was not nearly that high prior to it going to sleep/hibernate. No other connected HDMI device to the soundbar does this. I am not casting anything from a different device, just using the apps on the chromecast (particularly YouTube and YouTubeTV).
